We carry out puncture repairs, wheel balancing and tyre checking while you wait.
If you are not sure how to check your tyre tread or tyre pressure, our friendly staff will be able to give you expert guidance.
Scarily we get examples like these. Don't let it be you.
If your wheels are not balanced correctly you may experience vibrations in the steering wheel, floor or seat. You may also suffer inconsistent tyre wear.
Feel for lumps. The presence of lumps could mean that the tyre is not balanced correctly. It could also mean that you bought cheap tyres last time!

Wheel balancing is not the same as Wheel Alignment
Correct wheel alignment can improve fuel economy and performance and also helps increase the life of your tyres. If your tyres are wearing out quickly or if you have hit a kerb or been in an accident you should get your wheel alignment checked.
If your wheels are not aligned correctly you may experience uneven or rapid tyre wear, drifting away from a straight line when driving or a steering wheel that is not in the 12 o’clock position when driving straight.
“Uneven” means the tyre is more worn on one edge. This usually means you need a wheel alignment.
Tyres are one of the most important parts of your vehicle and their pressure should be checked at least once a month, whilst they are cold.
New technology and monitoring systems means it is much safer to get your tyres fitted by a qualified garage such as New lane Motors.
